Jeffrey L. Suter, of Enola, was driving the 2008 Ford Mustang northbound on Interstate 81 when he "made an unsafe lane change" making him lose control and exit the roadway just before the actual of Exit 61: Wertzville Road.

Suter crashed into the grassy berm, suffering fatal injuries, according to police.

One northbound lane of Interstate 81 was closed for about two hours as first responders and investigators were on the scene.

Suter was a Bishop McDevitt senior, as confirmed by the Cumberland County Coroner Charles Hall. He was a star on the school soccer team playing in jersey 11, according to MaxPreps. His assist for his team to score a goal over East Pennsboro last fall was even highlighted in a post-game interview with PennLive. In November 2022, he signed his letter of intent to continue to play soccer at Drew University in the fall of 2023. He had previously been injured and at one point had contemplated quitting but was really excited to follow the dreams he had had since childhood, he explained to ABC27 who covered the signing event.

Daily Voice has reached out to the school which has not released an official statement.

He is survived by his family, friends, classmates, and teammates.

Funeral and memorial service details have not been released.
